Aug 5, 2023Even if we talking about writing only I think there are some big differences between the two. Travis tends to have that Kid Cudi rambling run-on sentence writing style where words blend into each other and s*** sounds like total gibberish. Carti's lyrics might not have any substance but he expresses himself with true and concise sentences that are easy to understand and quote.
Many of Carti's verses are also pretty obviously freestyled, which means hes able to come with a high level of emotional honesty in his raps (even tho again the substance isn't there). Travis' raps are so polished and engineered sounding that the end product feels much more meaningless.
