Same man, that song arguably means more to me then any song on earth. Maybe that's why I'm so turnt up about this. I was at a stage in my life where I was trying to get over some really traumatic s*** that happened to me. On top of that the girl I was seeing ( not dating officially) at the time started dating a close friend of mine out of no where essentially. Due to that I had to cut off a good chunk of my friends. I felt very alone and hopeless in the world.

When this song came out I'm pretty sure I balled my eyes out and played it on repeat It gave me the strength and motivation to get my s*** together. I was a bit over weight at the time. I hit the gym the hardest I ever did in my life. Probably dropped 40 lbs in 6 months. Best shape I've ever been in. This song motivated me the whole time. I ended up finding a girl that ended up being my first real girlfriend and we dated for 5 years. I really attribute this song largely to sparking me and motivating me thru all of that. That's a big reason I'm pissed off he decided to do that. Cause I know this song and specifically this version probably means the same to countless fans. I've sent this song to friends that were going thru it and it helped them as well. Just really bugs me how CuDi fails to see how doing s*** like this can rubs fans the wrong way. Especially knowing that fans hold his music so close to their heart
