For example, Meek was mad at Drake and exposed him because he didn't promote his album (Akademiks has a different story that also makes Meek and Nicki look bad). People feel like they are owed a piece of his success and when he doesn't constantly deliver for them they go the other route. Being the best and being at the top of the game will make every other artist resent you and have some jealousy. A lot of the artists in the rap game believe they are the best at what they do, so when they see another guy, who is way more successful and arguably the most successful of all time...they feel a certain type of way. This is why that "No friends in the industry" song hits hard. Its all business. Drake's only real friends are his OVO crew and the ones he grew up with
