Oh wait you're talking about instrumentals lmaoo, I don't produce tho I rap lol
it's asio f***ing up, s*** use to happen to me
Make sure all your sample rates are the same on all speakers and s***
Buy an audio interface. I used FL studio for years without one and when I finally got an interface the change in audio quality was very apparent.
Try Reaper. It's free and isn't too crazy on the computer. Also really easy to use if you just want to record vocals.

like when you click right on a pattern and pick render as audio clip?

You can lol
There's even a "record as audio clip" option as well

You can record vocals straight into the playlist without edison
Just route it through the mixer & pick record as audio
And yeah, your computer is probably just s*** or your cpu is overloading. You can reduce stress on cpu overload by exiting out of unnecessary programs during usage, disconnecting wifi on your laptop/desktop, or by suspending the processes of background programs (this last one is usually the one with the best result).
CPU overload &/or s***ty computer will be a problem for any daw.
It can happen to any PC, but CPU memory are more prone to overload on crappier computers as well.
Thread convinced me that those that hate on FL (even tho its the Rap industry standard, then Abelton then Logic for beats) are just ignorant on how to use it lol.

Oh s*** this makes sense cus I got a mic now and I has to switch from FL studio asio to asio4all

Np!
And remember to google for YOUTUBE vids. Just google for videos on "how to record vocals straight into FL (put your number edition here)" and "how to reduce CPU memory" videos for whatever windows version you have, & it should show you how to suspend programs to make it run smoother. It improves SO much, even everyday things such as being able to have more tabs open in your browser without freezing. Even on s***ty computers it can make a big difference.
I'm self taught in production & now sell beats & used to work at a local studio before corona, & the main way i taught myself was literally just by GOOGLING & YOUTUBING ish for hours & breaking it down in my room. Dont be afraid to search everything, lotta people dont do this simple thing but you'd be surprised how easy it is if you look & search through the info yourself.
Good luck
