F*** this. Dude drops a s*** album, now get ready for another few months of hearing a guy who thought that the Romans fought in the battle of Thermopylae and doesn't know the basic history of the U.S. political parties rant about slavery and murder.
Because he's a lunatic that has been surrounded by yes-man for the last 5 years at least.
You make a good point op, however here are my thoughts on the matter F*** this. fair point, here’s my response to it: F*** this. Dude drops a s*** album, now get ready for another few months of hearing a guy who thought that the Romans fought in the battle of Thermopylae and doesn't know the basic history of the U.S. political parties rant about slavery and murder.

Nobody would mourn if you were to die today.

honestly he sounds more coherent lately
I think the fact that Kanye sounds so coherent and yet still supports some terrible people/organizations and says some terrible things is more concerning than anything.
This is the same guy who called out homophobia in hip hop and stood up against Bush on national TV for being slow to help out a significantly black Katrina victim population. It's really sad to see one of your heroes falling so far from that.

in that sense he’s never been politically correct
in that sense he’s never been politically correct
I have no problem with Kanye not being "politically correct" in the sense that he's speaking his mind. It's just sad to see that he's pretty much gone back on all the good things he used to stand for.
Kanye's always had an ego which made a lot of people hate him, but in my mind he's always been a genuinely good person at heart. Nowadays I honestly question that at times.
Kanye been saying wild s***, he's just saying different wild s*** now.
Before he was saying "wild s***" that spoke for those who were marginalized/mistreated/without a voice in America. Now he's saying "wild s***" that directly contrasts those ideas and opposes those very same people. If you're a fan who loved him for what he stood for back in the day, I don't know how you can't be disappointed in Kanye's current beliefs and antics.
I watched some of the same interviews and all I could think was F*** this. I totally agree with you. I just think it's weird that people are expecting Kanye of all people to not be outspoken. Kanye has always said whatever he felt like without a filter. "George Bush doesn't care about black people" is one of the defining moments of Kanye's life. He's done a complete 180 in what he's saying but he's always been like this.

For sure. I took the "wild s***" part as more than just beliefs/antics that are controversial. I've always loved when Kanye's spoke his mind for what he believed in, but at this point I think he's speaking for the wrong things and it sucks to see.
Imo, the moment he finally snaps and goes on a rant about how people on the right have used him as their token black figurehead for hate speech and how no church "can control him"...we'll get a great album from Kanye again. I trust the Kanye in that kind of mental state to make amazing albums.

Not really, his views haven't changed much at all since his earlier days. It's just that the way he's going about it is different and the context of the MAGA s*** skews what he's saying. If 2005 Kanye said Slavery was a choice and Democrats are using us and casting us aside, it has a different ring to it as it does now of him during this period of his life. If Kanye is genuine about his views on Trump it can be a testament on how some black people find themselves more aligned to more conservative figures/crowds/etc., if not how a man can kiss ass to push social change with a bill he endorsed, and freeing prisoners with his wife and possibly gaining favor for his personal interests (taxs, etc)
