Lowkey yea trying too hard to be perfect is a good way to put it, and like beyond the nazi stuff I can’t help but notice just how much that is felt in the verses too cuz he clearly was mostly sticking to what was being written for him I can tell way too obviously that rhymefest wrote gorgeous for example lol

I never really liked it. And i never really liked kanye. I think hes a terrible rapper

this. although American Boy came on shuffle the other day and his verse is still 10/10, reminded me why I liked his stuff in the first place

808s, yeezus, grad, cd, LR all give me that feeling. I lowkey feel like yeezus is just a better version of a lot of the ideas in the mbdtf concept

i’ve been feeling like this for a long time, like it’s cool for what it is of course and some songs still hold up really strong but yeah it’s no yeezus or 808s

i by no means hate dark fantasy to this day but even he admits he tried too hard

the first 4 albums and arguably yeezus are just more authentic

Exactly Mbdtf comes off like he REALLY wanted people to like it idk the others feel more authentic and distinct like the sound of 808s is no question and its flaws work to its advantage mbdtf tries really hard to be 0 flaws like a shiny product in the store, its rigid creation process and the intention behind is very present

there is something to be said though about the capability of wanting to win back the world through an album and actually doing it

Yeezus and LR will always be Kanye’s best work. Followed by Graduation and CD

Way better than AstroWorld, that a lot of people praises

They rewrite history, they don't believe in yesterday

It is a great album.

I think the level of great depends on where you were leading up to the album. If you were following the Good Fridays then this album didn't hit off rip because you had half the album already.

If you were a casual Kanye fan or heard the album later on then this album might be the best thing ever.

Ye is not a nazi, he was just trolling and fronting the bankers that frozen his accounts with + 1 BILLION OF DOLLARS after the Adidas beef, that was trying control his ass and freedom of speech

It was always coo to me. Like a 7 or whatever idk.
