NEW EQUITYRapping was always his second gig. He was cooking professionally years before rap. He also started rapping late (like 27?) so it's just not his thing anymore. A fun track/video/album here and there.
He also seems to be really close with the Vice staff.

but he didn't drop from Q1 2015 to Q3 2017
Mr Wonderful in 2015 wasn't really the sound Bronson fans necessarily wanted but it was successful in the mainstream (went top 10 on Billboard)
then when he dropped in 2017 it was more towards the sound fans wanted but not as popular in the mainstream (and it still charted at #53)
that's about a 2.5 year gap which is a long time, especially given how much the industry changed with streaming
White Bronco and Lamb Over with Al were both indie releases after he left his label and the sound is less mainstream than ever
