I am a natural pessimist, it's just what I am but I find myself in most situations involving other people being forced to change my personality, I don't know why people are so irritated to hear potential negative news I would rather be prepared for the worst than hope for the best.
Because people view pessimists as counterproductive & anti-revolutionary.
I kind of subscribe to afropessimism but I'm not trying to just sit in the negative bubble. I want a change.
Why be a person who is inclined to expect poor outcomes?
Just be a rational person instead (use logical reasoning)
The people you keep around you are important , if I have goals why would I want someone to constantly tell me “be realistic” or remind me of the possible negatives
worst kind of people tbh
No one wants a "aw man this s*** is gonna suck" type mf around tbh
worst kind of people tbh
people who see a gigantic asteroid landing on earth and say it'll burn up by the the time it lands are even worse....
I see it in myself and hate it so it's a huge turnoff when I see it in other people. I don't need that s*** around me when I'm trying to develop into more of a realist.
Also keep in mind that negative news is very toxic for people with anxiety and depression. They don't want to hear it because it's a matter of self preservation.
im pessimistic as s*** but it’s so i don’t set myself up for disappointment lol
I can't stand any pessimism / negativity
as soon as someone gets on these vibes im out
Pessimism doesn't get anything done. It's basically sitting there and pouting about s***.
Because people mistake honesty with negativity
People love to live in their own little bubble or dream world and are quick to outcast anything that threatens to pop it
People would rather you lie to them in order to preserve their emotions
I plan for the worst so that I can be prepared not because I refuse to see the good. I personally take the good and the bad but some people just want the good and because of that they never fully reach their potential because they rather get pats on the back and gold stars instead of feedback and criticism to become better
I hate when pessimists break out the magnifying glass to challenge positive news/studies from journals and universities but they won't take 5 seconds to check a source if it's a story that feeds into their worldview. They'll jerk off the Daily Mail, New York Post or some rando online that agrees with them but will s*** on educated people with a methodology.
It's a classic example of pessimism being held up as an inherently intellectual position by the pseudo-intellectual neckbeards of the internet who are ultimately living in a bubble like everyone else. The coronavirus subreddit is full of this s***.

pessisim is literally just punching potential in the d*** , f*** that energy
yall gotta stop watching Tony Robbins videos some of you guys sound like cliches... negativity is all around the world in a lot of way being pessimistic lets you comfort yourself from the worst happening.
Life already difficult enough to navigate through without ur whiny ass bringing me down even more at every turn
im pessimistic as s*** but it’s so i don’t set myself up for disappointment lol
Exactly.
It puts everything into perspective and you process things with a wider view.
Imagine being gullible.
