WLR is a bigger cultural moment in the same way that Pulp Fiction was a bigger cultural moment of 1994 than Forest Gump was.
It’s a cult hit.
You know how many niggas base their entire IG persona and lingo off Carti’s style
Like cmon people just being obtuse or blind itt
who or what represents core hip hop culture just curious
Lil Baby/Youngboy/Durk have ran the culture the last couple years so take from that what u will.

Carti is influential asl right now tho ngl.
this year from literally front to back was cartis year
not true Yeat Summrs Kankan
i agree with you there cause i’m someone who got tired of the s/t and die lit sound. i don’t consider them mid cause the sound got old tho
The beats are good. Carti just didn't do much on them.
HOW is WLR metal??
Because he’s screaming and has guitars on the album apparently

Bigger cultural moment.
No it’s not a bigger commercial success
But those things aren't the opposite of each other. If you've had immense commercial success, you've had an impact on the culture and Drake has and will probably always have a bigger slice of the culture than Carti does.
The only way you're right is if you only isolate Carti's slice of the culture, which for some reason KTT thinks is the only slice that exists... but it's not.
WLR is a very strong album and it has carried its momentum very well this year, but what you're trying to argue is nothing short of hyperbole. DONDA and CLB are both more commercially successful, and were both bigger cultural moments.

There are literally no guitars on that album
What’s Next by Drake was literally a Carti type beat according to the producer and it went #1
Not even mentioning the impression Carti left on Kanye for this album rollout, or Ed sheeran, or the entire subgenre he spawned in two weeks

CLB was not a cultural moment
Literally was Drake on autopilot and seeing how much success he could have off brand name
