That's not Hip Hops core fans those are older Hip Hop fans but they haven't haven't the core fanbase for years.

The core fanbase is now people who grew up with a different sound

I thought when you said hiphop core you meant like hiphop at its core. Which is the older boom bap type sound. Why arent polo g and nba youngboy under mainstream? Polo had a #1 song this year. They are both very mainstream

    martian master

kanye still doin 30K+ every week
Drake doin 45K+ every week and hasnt left the top 5 yet - but they came and went

    WLR growin in popularity where?
Wlr got outsold this year by albums released by Lil Tjay, durk, moneybagg Yo. He aint even seeing Ye or drake. Wlr took nearly a year to move 500K

WLR was the last album that was actually polarizing, that’s why

CLB is kinda disappointing across the board, but people who like it are understood and not trashed

Most have praise for donda of varying degrees, only ppl hating on it can’t get over MAGAYe and want to connect everything Kanye has done and will ever do to a stupid red hat

If you said you liked WLR when it came out mfs thought you were actually F***ing bugging, so it was exciting to like it and we already know negative attention will raise a profile way more than positive attention so there you go

The sales don’t matter. Like I said earlier what sold more 4:44 or Luv is rage 2? If this was 4 years ago you would’ve been saying 4:44. That’s why you gotta leave the chart watching s*** out of it.

    LIR2 sold more

What were people really f***ing w . Cause I can tell you rn Carti and Uzi got way more spins in my school than Jay z.

You could get 4:44 tickets for like 30 dollars the night before the show

So we’re finally admitting that when we talk about the culture in regards to Carti, what we’re really talking about is an echo chamber of same-minded, similarly aged people, right?

"I thought when you said hiphop core you meant like hiphop at its core"
No I mean niggas in the hood most niggas in the hood are bumping Rod Wave,Polo G,NBA not Freddie Gibbs.

Its not the sound it's the audience's

"Why arent polo g and nba youngboy under mainstream? Polo had a #1 song this year. They are both very mainstream"

Because a truly mainstream artist is someone everyone would know like a Kanye or Drake but like Polo G and NBA are just two artist with a firm grip on the youth that pushed them to big numbers but outside of them they aren't mainstream.

They're just two artist who have big audiences outside the mainstream hence why YB biggest streams are on YT vs a Spotify or Apple.

No niggas that actually pay attention to music. Four years ago y’all would’ve been saying 4:44, We would’ve been saying LIR2

We’re telling y’all in the grand scheme of things WLR is gonna matter more than Donda and Clb

while 4:44 came out before it and did 640k in 2017.
We would say LIR2 was bigger

I firmly believe that if MAGAYe never happened Donda wouldn’t be getting snubbed on most publication’s end of year lists

This is revisionist history cause back then you would’ve got trashed for bigging up Uzi over Jay z
