    NYC people aren’t rude, we just give off the same energy that’s being sent to us

    passive aggressiveness isn’t the norm out here unlike places like LA where that rumor probably started

    & who tf cares about that other s***, Alicia doesn’t have to steal anyone, she’s Alicia lol I’m sure it wasn’t that hard of a decision for Swizz. wouldn’t be for me that’s for damn sure

    Oh I wasn’t generalizing all NYC people are rude. However I will say women from there are more aggressive. Early in Alicia’s career she had the perfect girl image going on and I bet she’s more Nicki Minaj than India Irie off camera.

    It does matter because “stealing” Swizz went against the image she portrayed. Alicia personified class and many people felt that was classless. Whether if that really happened that way doesn’t matter, it still effected her career long term.

    She has never really carved out her own lane. Seems like for the majority of her career she has played it safe and conformed to whatever is trendy and not really ventured out

    Of the newer school generation of female rnb stars (Rihanna, Beyoncé, Alicia) I’d personally rank her top. Or just behind Beyoncé based on public opinion.

    Generational talent, deserves more credit

    She has some iconic songs but in reality is a horrible singer and peaked high. I still prefer her to Rihanna but I wouldn’t put her behind Beyoncé
