  • Now that I think about it we only ever see him in Chrome Hearts or Nike. Did he outgrow his own brand?

OVO isn't just his brand, it's also Olivers

He's being paid to wear Nike anyway, he doesn't get paid to wear OVO

Actually a good question, I’m trying to think of reasons as to why, but I can’t... maybe he’s in strict endorsement deals or someshit? Or maybe he wants to hype up OVO clothing when a “good” drop is near

You don't see Lebron wear anything but Nike right? It's a similar deal

LeBron also doesn’t have his own clothing line, his clothing line is literally like a subsidiary to Nike

It looks like he's trying to get richer faster, and OVO isn't cutting it for now. His more lucrative deals, like the one's with Nike, are getting priority at the moment. At least for the next album cycle.

Cause he has a deal with them

You can't have something made in collaboration with Nike without signing on the dotted line and he's not doing it for free

Signature shoe = contract signed = deal

Also he's been Team Nike/Jordan since 2013 under an endorsement deal

    bleacherreport.com/articles/1875777-drake-finalizes-endorsement-deal-with-jordan-brand-previews-new-shoe-line

    Nike owns Jordan

This is likely a new contract because of the Adidas deal back in 2018 that was ultimately dropped. You can't still be signed with Nike and work with Adidas that goes against no-compete clauses

You just linked me a rumor article and a 2013 Jordan deal that ended a few years ago. You have yet to show proof of a Nike deal.

A contract needs to be signed in order for this to happen. A contract implies a deal. No business as large as Nike will go to someone with a verbal agreement. They will sign a contract in order for the two parties to work together. In this case Drake has been wearing pieces from their collaboration this last year.

Also from the end of 2018 AFTER Adidon

    Then this from October 2019

We probably haven't seen anything from this specific Liverpool thing because of COVID. A marketing campaign doesn't just start as soon as a deal is closed.
