small brain - i don't think about who we are or where we come from

mid brain - my parents are religious and thats why i believe it

large brain - i'm an atheist because stories in the bible don't make sense and are obviously myths, life is random and meaningless

galaxy brain - i used to be atheist, but realized that despite the flaws with organized religion, there is an underlying intelligence at the root of the universe, denial of this is foolish

Infinite brain- any stance on God is irrelevant

I think the problem with that is theres literally zero proof that heaven is a better place and those kids are going to better off. It's nice to have that faith and hope but it's not steeped in any evidence whatsoever

This is the only thing that bugs me about religion. I believe in Christian-type higher power though I’m slightly leaning towards being agnostic, but I don’t understand why we’re supposed to just believe in something without any tangible proof.

Like the people in Jesus’ day got to see him perform miracles ( water to wine, rising after being nailed to the cross etc) so they had actual experiences to base their beliefs on. We just have to take their word for it from the bible.

It’s hard when there is merit in so many religions and so many great people have differing beliefs, but apparently only one group will go to heaven just based on what they chose as their faith - regardless of their character.

I look around and see so much beauty in the world, and I stop to consider how weird it is that we’re randomly conscious beings on a spinning rock, and I can only conclude that some higher being made all this. I just wish it’d be clear who/what we should believe in. And yes I get the argument that if god revealed himself then we wouldn’t have free will anymore so that’s why he can’t, but still

this is such a stupid argument...
if you don't believe in God, nor are you willing to listen to those providing answers - why even talk about religion and pretend like you want answers or that you even care??
lol you sound like the most typical rebellious edgy teen and it doesn't help your name is "slytendencies20" lmao bro

all God based religions contain some form of explanation as to why the world is the way it is.... if it was as easy as God just coming out of the sky and fixing everything with the snap of the finger - he would have done it by now... it's much more complex than just some elementary school level answer you're expecting

This response is not very christ-like, ima need you to be less passive aggressive

Because it's counterintuitive, if the person can stay good under pressure and sacrifice his comfort, but still do no harm to others then this person, in my opinion, truly deserves heaven.
