Slightly off subject but I’ve never understood what people meant by saying his lyrics were “corny.”

To me, Gambino has always had Kanye-like humor in his raps, so I’ve always felt I could differentiate between when a bar was supposed to be genuinely good vs it’s supposed to make you laugh, but am I missing something?
