The6ixerI'm convinced people don't know what a hit is. I saw clowns on Twitter making 20 for 20s with songs that ain't even enter the top 100.
I'm going to answer this question.First, we need to answer what a hit is. What makes a song a hit? Commercial success. That's it. I don't care if your little sister really liked that one particular song, no one else did. I don't care if someone was spitting bars on that song if it didn't even enter the hot 100.
To keep it as simple as possible, I'm going to define a "hit" as any song that peaks at #40 or higher on the Billboard Hot 100. Although not a perfect metric, it is by far the best we have to estimate how well a song is doing across multiple platforms.Let's take a look.

CONCLUSIONIf the hit battle is 47 songs or less, J.Cole and Kendrick can compete. If the hit battle is close and goes into overtime, J.Cole and Kendrick run out of ammo after 47 songs, Drake can keep going for over 100 songs.If we look at top ten songs only Drake has 37. Kendrick has 8. Cole has 5. 8+5=13. Take all the statistics and carry the 2 => 20. Drake still wins by 17 songs.
Quality is a different argument, and is strictly subjective which can't be accurately gauged. However, Drake hits do tend to remain in the top 40 for a very long time compared to his peers. Do what you will with this information.
