It was weird how huge it was in 2020. I think the materials were easy to get during lockdowns so a lot of people just were doing that as something fun to do. When I worked in centers back then there were "slime days" and it was just most people making it. Ruined a lot of carpeting tho

I go back and forth with slime, its so damaging to s*** (and Ive seen plenty needing a haircut after playing with it) but its so cheap and simple its something a parent can do with a kid no matter the financial situation. probably cheaper to make than buying any toy out there like play doh. might spark an interest in chemistry or whatever too
