You are right that the s***industry does not produce any value. Nor does the arms industry or gambling or finance. But that's a feature of capitalism, not a bug

Arms industry makes good manufacture jobs

Arms industry employs hundreds of thousands of shipbuilders

Good art adds meaning and value to life, it shows different perspectives, shows moral or objectives.

The benifits of sports are numerous, they motivate us, teach us excellence, hard work and dedication. Also in many sports if we are practicing we enhance our physical well-being.

S***for sale has none of these redeeming values

your definition of "good art" excludes the vast majority of entertainment people consume on a daily basis. if you think most people are listening to drake or taylor swift or whoever because they are looking for a new perspective or learning morals then you're misguided.

people first and foremost consume entertainment (TV, music, sports) for excitement, pleasure, and diversion, it's no different than sexual media. the benefits you mention are secondary (or nonexistant) for most people.

A better example of good art, is literature since we have books that have lasted centuries and millennials
All books aren’t Clifford the big red dog, most books have a value use to the reader, even if it’s fiction the pleasure or comfort is more lasting. People gravitate to art that has quality that’s why we have Oscars and Grammys. With art the cream generally rises to the top.

Economy was always already a libidinal, affective economy. These services exchange the value of intense voluptuous pleasure, which are inscribed in goods of an immediate use-value. At bottom, they still remain unproductive, but they are now what is reproduced and recirculated more and more. As an economic simulacrum, the unexchangeable intensity of jouissance is prostituted to the common code of the market. Yet, while such services are a move toward 'living currency' (where the subject/object of valuable exchange is both the simulacrum of wealth, and wealth itself), they, too, remain, in its current stage, in the old productivist model, however affective, social, or serviceable, of a laboring and recompense, instead of pure speculative libidinal finance.

    it’s a multibillion dollar industry

Arms industry makes “good” manufacturing jobs? Good how?
Because it’s funded by taxes so we can kill people?

All these mental gymnastics instead of just saying you think creating jobs just to create jobs is good as long as it fits American moralistic ideas, guns good naked people bad

These services inherently don’t have any value, they’re not like art where the appreciate in value nor does it have a true tangible value like the food industry, steel industry, transportation, elelectronics ect. Things that have fall under this category of valueless products are like cigarettes, they have no inherit benefit for the user but bear a maleficent nature just on the fact you gain nothing exchange of your monetary transactions , casinos and gambling also fall in this category.

There valueless enterprises also tend to be the ones that exploit the consumer the most, since their value isn’t concrete

If these mental expertises and that’s funneled into these industries would be exhausted to more useful industries, we could be in a much better position in the future.

These sort of things is why I don’t believe unbridled caplatisim because when avenues are open, whole segment of the population is being in revenue but in reality their wealth it’s not contributing to society. I’d compare it to eating a cake compared that’s comprised of empty carbs a calories.

Humanity has a long way to go and these things that might seem like simple pleasures hinder our growth to reaching our full potential, may it be space travel or bioengineering

You really wrote this self righteous essay disguised as a trite critique on capitalism founded on your outdated black & white assumptions and opinions about what’s good and bad and valuable “art is good cause it appreciates in value” I’m dead

And then trying to justify it with this advancing humanity and flying to space talk

My guy all you needed to say is you got triggered by women making money from p*** while you sitting at home sexually frustrated

Quit your got damn nofap and go smoke a blunt
