You just old bro, sorry
Feel it more and more little homie...i just laugh at this music nowadays..and playboi carti is god awful and an example thst this generation is inntrouble
I dont give a damn if i show my age but damn 95% of the stuff that is "hot" these days is all the same...same type beats, same 808s, same whiney autotune. Im thankful for the few new school ive heard that dont have to follow the formula of todays microwavable music that comes and goes..
Easy answer. None of these artists know what pitch is or being in key. Like, at all. Auto tune isn’t a insta-fix and nor is melodyne.

Exactly...teddy pain had it down to the science...the new school artists lazy af and kids worship them its insane
Because T-Pain, Wayne, and Future aren't mentoring them enough.
T-Pain f***ed up music though. Usher was right

No. Many of his imitators f***ed up.
T-Pain just created his own lane.

Listen to this gramps
op spitting facts, its a crutch rather than a creative tool these days. How many these guys would survive without their producer drastically processing the vocal? the pen was lost now even mcing is hardly needed
Cause none of these artists is actually interested in that part of music
U know how many ppl think the standard to creating a hip hop song is just basically;
Downloading a yt beat, freestyle 1hour in the studio and have the engineer do the rest
They dont care about the mixing and stuff sadly
Others pick up on this too
Its weird to say
But i think thats so rooted in hip hop now
I feel like its one of the few genres where ppl dont appreciate the physical part of it anymore
The real instrumentation and natural lush feel..
Ppl associate like real artistry with rock and stuff cause they actually still see the people write and perform everything
In hip hop that's far less
So automatically people assume, that it's not that deep
Why fix up cool vocal fx or live instrumentation when u can do something in an hour and get rich anyways...
Plus alot of ppl dont know how autotune works or any other of them fx other than it does something cool with ur vocals
You’re totally right @op I started listening to heavy metal and afrobeats, modern day rap is just not dope anymore. With the exception of Ye Cole and Kendrick who always innovate.
he ain’t wrong tho tbh
all this s*** sounds the same

No hate but what has Cole innovated in his entire career?
Only mf that can use auto tune correctly nowadays is Travis
there's no correct way to use autotune, it's all taste at the end of the day
