Will be called all types of names and ad hominem for this by underaged, and they’d be right...IF there was any sort of balance.

I have no issue with sex-based imagery or work, but damn is this literally all the industry has to offer? You can make the case it’s just entertainment but over the past 5 years I’ve seen girls completely transform into Meg, Cardi, and City Girls clones. They think it’s empowering.

Music has a big influence on people. Most will chalk it up to “well if you’re so easily influenced that’s your own fault”, which is just the stupidest goddamn argument ever. Same goes for violence and d*** rap.

Top women rappers right now could be mistaken for s***workers instead of musicians. Literally the top 5-10 women artists.

That tells me it’s a push for that sort of content.

  • OP if you bossed up and transformed into a Young Nudy clone I bet it would feel pretty empowering

Being liberal on certain matters doesn’t mean you have to lack any and all boundaries. You wouldn’t promote this content to an underaged person willingly would you?

They’re public figures and entertainers. Make what you just said make sense.

"the music industry" is made up of women also, and its mainly women who are pushing this themselves, because women consume content based on their own desire to look like women they think are attractive

because the entertainment industry pushed this narrative that being overly sexual for women means you're being empowered, so now it's not just the guys who love women selling their bodies, women love it too

Because the women who make that music only know how to rap about that because it's all they have seen from women who made it before them.

You still hear people talk about Lil Kim and Trina but never Lady Rage or any of the women who could really rap.
