Simple she had a viral song on tiktok she has had semi successful songs for her which gave her a fanbase and a buzz in certain demos (the aesthetic shaderoom audience) then her high profile relationship with trippie which gave her a million eyes because shes pretty, a breakup which lead to both doing post breakup songs/albums. Then she had a minor hit with slide ft gunna now no more parties on tiktok going viral gave her a good enough push for the mainstream audience which also brought a lot of the usual hate through viral tweets about not liking her which made her trend even more. Shes also signed to republic and they finally put money behind marketing for her.
