  • I was wondering this cause doesn't it make little sense to have the biggest meal before you go to sleep? When you're just sleeping and not expending energy. Shouldn't therefore breakfast be the biggest meal so you have the most energy for the day?

Australia. Really I think dinner is the biggest meal cause you gotta actually cook an actual meal not like lunch where you can just have a sandwich or breakfast where you could just have cereal or toast

Back when I was in primary school, they thought me in the morning you should eat like a KING, at lunch you should eat in the middle, and at dinner you should eat like a PEASANT. And the teacher said it is because in the morning you need the most energy to start your day and in the evening you need to wind down. But in reality, these quantities are reversed for most people!

  • You burn a lot of energy in your sleep actually.

I think a lot of bodily upkeep is done in this state which requires a lot of energy.

It’s like when the body says, ok now that the building is shut down for the night, let’s get some cleaning and repairs done before this place opens back up for business and wreaks havoc on itself again

I think meals being a tradition and all and from there it goes back to society using evening for rest and the day time is for work and other active stuff, there's a large portion in human history where that is exclusively a staple. Prob why the food associated with dinner time is often grand-like, folks just tryna enjoy their rest time

because dinner time is when the sun is aspecting the moon at exactly 6 degrees hence contributing to the idea that 6 was afraid of 7 because 7, 8, 9, but why did 7 eat 9 you might ask? because you're supposed to eat 3 squared meals a day. this ultimately explains why dinner is the biggest meal.

Could be packing in muscle from an exhausting day like a post workout meal, or as a reward after an exhausting day. Or that it’s when you have the most time to prepare a meal so it’ll naturally be the biggest and when you have the most appetite to eat. But most commonly it is the one meal when the family is altogether so they spend the most time eating and conversing.

Yup, they even had pictures. I only drew the king but you get the point.

This take just always stuck with me. But who got the time for eating like a king in the morning, right?

I skip on breakfast tbh, workouts are way better on a empty stomach.

  • Idk, i feel sluggish after eating, better to feel that way before you go to sleep than starting your day
