  • Commercials try to appeal to younger audiences because they're the ones who need to be engaged with more. Older people (boomers, Gen X, even millennials a lil bit) are less likely to be out and about, they're already just chilling and watching TV every evening so they're gonna see the commercials anyway. The more active younger people have to be drawn in.

    Gen Z people online are shockingly self absorbed, self-centred, and blame-shifting yea. Even worse when they veil it through charity and altruism i.e All of social media. No wonder a lot of commercials would (unsuccessfully) try to capitalise on it.

    Remember when we thought the whole millennial 'Only 90's Kids' schtick was pretentious? We upped that to f***ing eleven.

    Everyone wanna act like they are the next lost generation now.

    IRL though most people just go about with their day as usual. Don't let goofs online make you jaded.
