I feel like with rappers, more than any other musicians, the people creating the music incessantly dump their links wherever they can. We’re all too familiar with this, however I’m thinking to myself why don’t Musicians from other genres (bands/singers/instrumentalists) Promote as aggressively as rappers do? Do some of y’all have an answer this
the collaborative nature of rap and R&B makes it exceptionally friendly to the internet because of how much interaction there is and as such, many people who make hiphop are very internet based and use it as a platform
indie and other non rap acts don’t really have this and they do their promotion through local shows and word of mouth
I don't know, but I do know that Colt Williams' new EP LAJ is available for stream and download on all major platforms. To ease your mind I'll just drop a link here

My bad
Hiphop has always been more DIY in nature than the manufactured assembly line world of say, pop
Also more direct to the consumer than other genres. Just an extremely personal face to face genre all around - which stems from its roots in the streets where you have no choice but to get it on your own
Hustle mentality bro
because they cant make up with their music quality
