On a foundational level, hiphop is the most purely tech based major US born established genre, one wherein sampling and putting vocals on other peoples music is a staple. So even if this was another timeline where hiphop wasn’t the current status quo genre, I suspect the current AI trend would still be most prominently done using hiphop and its status quo figure
