I was talking to a friend last night, and she was teasing me for liking kanye and she started saying how bad Donda2 was, and my only response was.

well yeah its not done, but she just refused to listen because she saw a youtube video of someone playing the rough version on a stem player.

also she started making fun of the stem player??

the crazy thing is we both make beats and have released so it's like you think she'd understand a demo when she heard it but yeah idk

why do people have so much trouble with ye?

why is it so hard for them to just acknowledge that hes an artist who makes artistic choices?

I got into this with someone online yesterday. Kanye has been dropping and then subsequently changing/improving/adding on to albums in an increasingly rough way ever since Yeezus (some people don't know this but there were several slight changes to Yeezus after release). why is it so hard for some people to believe that this is also going to happen with Donda 2? like yes this is the first time he's actually released the demos for people to hear... but pablo was the first time he had a listening party and then didn't drop the album immediately. Donda was the first time he showed people a true work in progress over several listening parties on a wide scale.

It's strange but the rollout of Donda 2 is kind of a natural progression of his last decade of rollouts.

People are going to complain until we actually get updated versions of the songs

For all we know, Kanye could just move on from DONDA 2. Who knows how he’s feeling about it.

I think we all have trust issues with Kanye’s promises

Cause they not really fw ye over the antics and wanna push a narrative
But on the flip side he probably shouldn't be dropping an unfinished albums

I think he saw how popular some of his demos were getting online so he announced the album ahead of time and was like "here's some sunna funna wunna I'll update these over the next few months"

I think it's cool but I get why people don't like it.

it's not shocking from Kanye anymore, heck it's expected by him.

it's one thing to tweak songs here and there if something is off or maybe you couldn't get one thing finished before releasing, it's another to release unfinished messy s*** exclusively on a player that costs $200 to get.

But I find it weird that people are still comparing a unfinished mumble pack to finished projects like Donda Deluxe.
