If I studied more, ate healthier, slept better, smoked less, coded more, worked out more I could have everything but I don't do it and its scaring me, why am I so self destructive
You’re lazy/undisciplined. You simply choose to do other things instead of the stuff that will benefit you in long run. I think we all do this to a degree

how to be less lazy/more discipline? serious
how do i get rid of this
One step at a time. You can’t fix everything at once. Pick one thing to try and be disciplined about and progress from there.

Make getting “work” done first a priority. Make it routine. You wake up, study or practice coding. Do it everyday until it’s routine. At the end of the day it’s all power of the mind.

Atomic Habits, Running on Empty, The Book of Joy. (Those are what helped me the most)
Get an older used Kindle off eBay and use libgen to download almost any book you want for free, convert to .mobi file and email to your Kindle. Boom. Free books for years (as long as the reader lasts basically) for approximately 40 bucks. (How much mine cost me)
The return on investment from that 40 or so bucks is incalculably huge.
Honestly tho probably either deep down you don’t think you deserve it or you’re scared that even if you did try you’d fail and maybe failing is worse than not trying at all. Perceivably “not caring” is seen as cool in whatever society you’re probably in too
That being said I came to those conclusions and look where I am still so maybe don’t listen
The idea of “having it all” if you applied yourself is probably a comfortable thought and if you did test it you might lose that hope I’m sorry

it really is i have to rid myself of this s*** before the year ends

Nobody can make you put down the PS4 controller but you. No amount advice can break your laziness.
Just do it one day. At the end of the day when you accomplish everything you’ve planned I promise it feels better than looking up and realizing you wasted the entire day scrolling social media or gaming
Don't listen to them.
