what a weirdly negative take
I put it on and got bored People been bringing up the same Kanye talking points for 8 years.
I’m sold on it, I just don’t think there’s that much to dissect and they chose it because of the fanbase, not because it’s worth dissecting. Some stuff even great stuff just ain’t that deep
yea you’re not wrong, but I’m still gonna listen and report back
i think there's plenty to explore in relation to things like masculinity and race as well as how the choice of samples plays into that
Idk if I'll be listening but I think it has more depth than u make out
There’s some things to explore but not enough to stretch a whole season of podcasts out of and I feel like that’s a recipe for reaching, dissect also has a habit of acting like every album is TPAB level of depth and political/social significance so it’s not gonna be subtle enough for the album. I just think it’s very obvious why they picked this album (and all the albums they pick really), its not because the albums are worth dissecting or fit the format, it’s because they’re catering to a certain audience of hip hop Twitter cacs who only like Tyler, Frank, Kendrick and Kanye type artists. Any jay-z album would be more interesting to dissect
Just not that interesting if you lived though that era. I’m sure it’s cool for new listeners tho
Wut lol
Oh is it Spotify only do I gotta wait for Apple
Its out on spotify they sent me a notification for it
Its out on spotify they sent me a notification for it
Yeah I guess Apple is delayed since he signed with Spotify
Can’t believe people unhappy at yeezus related content. Y’all entitled af. The more content about this time the better.
Appreciate greatness when you see it.
Cause dissect is corny for the most part and Yeezus ain’t even good to dissect like this.
Kanye want make fashion, they say no, Kanye mad, Kanye yell, Kanye make abrasive noise
Boom dissected. At least TPAB and Beyoncé albums make sense for the format
Really gonna listen to this dude read off of genius and try to make it deeper than it is. It’s like dissecting punk music
