This yt channel is really good btw

    youtube.com/@synthet9150/videos

    synthet

the videos are to the point, actually legit, interesting and under 2 to 3 mins

    etc.

some of it is basic, some of it is advanced and some of it is really unique or niche

his channel just started last year too so hes really active and he's already blowing, would def recommend. and them being short is even good for "advanced" people like I guess myself howit acts as a lil refresher or an inspo boost.

Stereo Imaging is definitely an essential part of the mix 100 percent

Using stereo imaging plug-ins can introduce phasing issues if you’re not careful though so it’s best to use them judiciously

Best course of action for imaging in mixing is always the pan pot. Even for stereo instruments. When all the stereo instruments are 100 percent left and right it creates an undesirable effect known as “big mono”, which is another way of saying everything sounds like it’s coming from the center even though it’s technically stereo. Take one instrument and feed it to the left more or less than the right and with the next instrument do the opposite. Find the pockets for each instrument in the stereo field while keeping the kick snare and bass dead center. Once you’ve done that then you start playing around with imaging plugins if that even becomes necessary
