The average 21 year old in this day and age still lives with their parents. A 21 year old dating a 21 year old would likely have to also deal with going to parents house to see them.

At 18 half the classes you take in college are with 19-22 year olds. Like they are in the same exact area in their life.

When I was 18 plenty of my friends were 19-22, nothing 'weird' or different about having a relationship of any sorts with people that age at 18.
