Part of it is probably that fans get behind the scenes stuff on social media all the time, as the album is being made
There isn't many interesting characters in hip-hop. Those who are, get one. Xxxtentacion's estate is working on one about him + I think Hulu dropped one about 6ix9ine?
do you think we'll ever get a Frank Ocean documentary
do you think we'll ever get a Frank Ocean documentary
He has a big and very dedicated fan base + he's a mysterious person, so there is a market for it. But he doesn't strike me as someone who would want to drop something as personal as a documentary tbh
Would love a new Tribe doc.
MF Doom doc but that would go against his character of being an enigma.
Ye doc if it involves his crew recording his studio and live performances
In for a Wayne doc.
I think social media play a part in it. Nowadays we have damn near 24 hour access to these rappers depending on who they are so we don’t need them that much. We have access to hella behind the scenes s*** already so it’s whatever.
Everythings very boring and stale
Make trap beat
Send trap beat to one of 3 artists for a feat
Hit song
Making of wlr would be fun tho
So the same process but act artsy about it

This all the DOOM doc we need tbh

I noticed hip hop themed movies like State Property, Streets Is Watching, GRODT, 8 Mile, ATL, Bad Boys 2, Menace 2 Society, Above The Rim, Deep Cover, etc. haven't popular in years either.
And no....Straight Outta Compton and AEOM don't count because those are basically banking on nostalgia. There's no real fresh hip hop based films anymore.
Then again, film in general has been on decline.

The hood film genre has been done to death lmao.
What netflix post?
someone said netflix usually offers some sort of bag to most artists interested in doing this
Nobody wants to watch a screen recording of Logic being used
not a logic fan but I don’t think he getting violated like that
Cause social media most are always showing what they do and if they’re not doing that they’re not doing much worth showing

I've seen this one w this french artist that only wears shades it was v good. Hopefully more artists takes up that offer tbh
are there any mainstream rap artists who really need a documentary other than drake, rocky, and a few select others
