I'm not gon lie to you when I think of Lil Tracy I think of Witchbladez Tracy, you're telling Witchbladez Tracy would have a resemblance of a hit by now
Tbh I need to listen to his music still but from what I heard he's seriously an unconventional artist like that.
if he had never got those horrible face tats he prob be something
Could be the tats but I just feel like the wave of that type of music passed. Like everyone in that scene took a hit, can't think of one person who didn't.
Soiundcloud is Degrassi, theres always a new generation coming in to replace the last.
Post malone
Post Malone blew up off Youtube and Twitter..White Iverson came out in 2015. Niggas was still rapping on anime flips and making "cloud rap"
Tracy was one of those dudes who had great ideas that other people ran further with. Example is old town road spawning from like a farmer.
I think he gave his best shot to break through, he was just one of those dudes who missed the mark and thats just how it went.
He got jealous of Peep's fame, because he felt like he was just as talented and felt like it should have been more even. But Peep was more marketable.
I recall Yachty wanting to work with him before he blew up, but Tracy wrote him off.
It was just a series of bad luck and bad business decisions. Not to mention he is mentally unstable and has/had major d*** problems. So it is probably for the best.
As someone said before, he is at least gettin money.

Suicide Boys is still goin strong

This is true..I should really just say MOST of the people from that era.
Suicide Boys still putting up Ms
niggas showin they ass and they ain’t wipe
he phrased that terribly, but peep was clearly the bigger star

no one is nor can argue against that

nah its wild cause you were seeing a new colored dread face tat having ass nigga every week and now its so dated. Most of them niggas from that wave are washed

I really don't get how, as a new artist, you'd want to blend into a current trend so much, a lot of these dudes looked legit identical, what are you saying about yourself if your whole aesthetic is trend-chasing?

because there are always gonna be artists who just ride waves. Look at this new street ballad wave poppin. How many of em u think is gonna last

washed, dudes were tryna play industry and underground at the same time and got replaced..and honestly they were gonna get replaced (in popularity) by fresher sounds and looks anyways.
sidenote: the best artist took the next step up. that 2016-2018 wave just set the groundwork for the new niggas of today to legitimately make music a career. But you gotta give credit to the ogs end of the day bc the influence is undeniable for some guys and in this case tracy. and tbh we really never know what some of these guys went through with their label situations. we'll prob find out in 5 years in a Vlad type interview lol

i think they're sound just got dated and they didnt evolve. Look at trippie who has revitalized his career by hopping on that new plugnb hyperpop wave
IMO he should have gone full emo like peep. Instead of going the emo ganster route. And now people like Polo G and Durk took that sad gangster s*** and put a more gritty and real spin to it and now Tracy doesn’t have a chance to shine
like a farmer came before old town road and was a better song
he always starting the trends for real

facts..thats a great f***ing point..you gotta adapt, have great timing, and get in where you fit in.
Tracy f***ed the bag up for himself by being a combination of stubborn, mentally ill, and (formerly) addicted. Amazing artist with an incredible catalog though and I think he’s managed to carve a pretty solid living for himself out this rap s*** so good for him, but he could have been really big if he played it smarter
