people tried to say ''even though lyrics are terrible the production is so good b.'' it's unbelievable how people lie to themselves in order to save his ''legacy''

I don’t think it’s bad at all, few poor lyrics here and there, maybe a corny line. But I can appreciate it

  • To me it’s a really great album..I think people go into it looking for the wrong things

It's mediocre and disappointing but terrible is a strong word.

It bums me out that I don’t believe in his talent as an artist as much anymore.

Just look at the thread on his ex designer. So many cool s***. Creativity at top level. So we traded all of this for a f***ing choir and a capella renditions of his past hits? Lmao fak off with this s***, there was a million interesting ways to make an album about divinity and spirituality yet he chose the mos boring, conformist one. Its pathetic, and I know all the big f***ing "love everyone" bigots in this sxn hate this kind of post and think jik haters have no soul, well its true but we have taste so stop trying to make it top 3 it will never be

Production is superb on Follow God, God Is, Water, Use this Gospel, Jesus is Lord. Nothing that hasnt been done before but its really good.

So many great moments like hallelujah chants on Selah and the outro, Closed on Sunday second half, Follow God sample flip, God Is whole song is top 20 Kanye, Use This Gospel sax solo and Push and Clipse verses.

This album different from your usual ye albums because its cohesive by its lyrical content rather than the sound. Sonically speaking, Every Hour is straight gospel, Follow God is soul hip hop, On God is electronic hip hop, God Is is R&B, Water is chillwave.

What stops is from being better are some cringe lines, the mixing, and its short length.

The lyrics aren’t terrible at all, it’s just not meant to be a lyrical album. This nonsense reminds me of when Yeezus dropped and people said he couldn’t rap anymore. Like no it just wasn’t that type of album. He went on to drop NMPILA on the next album
