Idk I think it‘s just his marketing & maybe beacuse he doesn‘t feature many mainstream artists (didn‘t he get blackballed because he didn’t sign with YSL? - which was a huge mistake btw). Thought the Carti feature would put him on to alot of kids but the song wasn‘t on WLR

well he got dropped by a major label a while back and now prolly is independent so thats at least a part of that

Also the mixing on his tracks are really ass, I don't mind a drowned out mix but it needs to be a little bit less muddy. Don't really think the lyrics holding him back all that much, but some of the tracks on barnacle sound like they were made by a beginner bedroom producer that was given a beat and vocals and has never mixed in his life.

He’s really terrible at marketing himself. His chance to breakout is already done. And I think he’s thugs best child. Better than gunna baby keed all of dem. He just wasn’t consistent. Took a huge break in 2019. And his tape prior to this one wasn’t really as good as the debut. He just waited to long. Nothing has to do with it “musically” if he dropped consistently for the past 4 years he would be in a decent spot
