Smacked VoodooI gave that new album of his a spin and honestly it was just boring. He's singing well I'm not surprised by that, but I'm not really moved by the music. To me it feels very safe. Which makes for music that isn't bad, but it's not really commanding attention or makes me feel like I have to go back and listen. A one and done kinda album.
These last 2 albums of his just havent touched or graced even the lows that Freudian had. (And i think thats one of the greatest R&B albums of the last decade)
Still waiting for a moment where i go “oh s***!” Like this

It ain't bad but the best way to describe it is a much lesser version of Freudian. It works, but if I want something that's gonna really hit I'm just gonna put on Freudian. And if I want something where he takes risks then Case Study 01 is there too.

In reality, he's just a dope, talented dude who thinks for himself. Which makes me like him much more.
