  • I think Nas coming out is huge for hip-hop. For a rapper like him to come out, someone who came of age in Queensbridge during the rugged, boom-bap era of rap, that is a big deal and will normalize being gay in the rap community and in the black community. Also, Illmatic is considered the greatest rap album. So are people going to redo their hip-hop rankings because of homophobia?

    Been reading a bunch of backlash about "the kiss" at the BET awards and the idea that it is going to poison children's minds and turn them gay. That is foolish. We see women kiss on TV at awards shows and in music videos (WAP). We also see heterosexual kisses all the time.
