He did rap really really well on Scary Hours 3, reminiscent of “The Calm” ,on a few of these joints, from SFG by keeping the same rhyme scheme throughout the song. I really enjoy these songs, but there is an obvious point to notice how effortless it sounds on the rap records, so much so, Drake says it verbatim in one of these haha.

His rap songs are missing some type of urgency in the music and/or his delivery that gives these all rap songs a different energy that seems to be missing from his music lately. It can come across as boredom, arrogance, effortlessness, or a combination of the 3, but it is noticeable and can have people questioning why does he sound like this currently…

As a day 1 Drake fan I don’t want an album of 20 tracks of Drake rapping over beats like this tbh cuz yeah it would get old quick. If Drake did this s*** all the time people would say he can’t get in his “Hit” bag anymore.
I mean SH3 shows it 6 tracks that seem kinda boring to the normal drake listener but then gives you you broke my heart

Putting aside the content of his lyrics, I think people in general just want one rap album, similar to sh3, but with 5-6 more songs, and they don’t all have to be conducter beats or Diary Drake flows. First person shooter and evil ways are good examples of being able to satisfy rap evangelists and the casual music lovers who just want a bop.

However, now with SH3, I don’t think anyone has the right to complain because we’re all fed.

This is my biggest issue with “Lyrical Drake” post like 2016. Very few of the songs he’s dropped since then where he’s trying to display his lyrical prowess have had any type of energy, just that same lazy, monotone talking style delivery in one long verse. If you go and compare songs like 5AM in Toronto or 6PM in New York with his modern day lyrical songs, the difference in energy in his deliveries is night and day, and it makes the newer songs so boring to listen to

I like how a person just rapping regularly without a cartoon voice or 50 layers of distortion is boring now lool. ADHD

The monotone delivery kinda fit the very mellow and vibey production though. I thought it sounded really boring, but the raps were good. It was for the rap fans for sure. Niggas who like SRS a lot

Drake arguably has the BEST & catchiest flows in rap for all the dogs proved that most of y'all didn't like it cause he wasn't "mature" now he essentially gives you what you want and now it's boring ..
