sabbaroniyou mean the verse where Khaled was specifically yelling throughout the song that it was dedicated to his newborn son? you took a song clearly and undebatably made to appeal to children as a serious indication of how Chance’s career would progress?
More of an indication to where he was entering in his career and life and how that would come across musically. I was still hyped about listening to it cos i am a fan, but it was just a letdown and alot of the album fulfilled those worries. But tht is selfish of me cos like i said, its where he is in his life rn and who i am tell him what music to make

that’s why first impressions can be very misleading. i think TBD was a nice project about Chance being real happy with his wife, but on first impression, i didn’t like it much bc i really didn’t want that kinda album from Chance. same exact thing happened when Coloring Book dropped. once you let go of unrealistic expectations you built up based on hope, life is a lot more fun.

yeah i live through those same sentiments, and i loved coloring book. i just feel this new album is way too bloated, but thats my criticism of any album with more than 15 songs lol
