Everyone brags but it’s levels to this s***. Nobody can flex like Drake or Hov. Even before Drake had the money, he was flexing unlike anyone else. Sending subs, rapping about how other rappers need him, saying s*** like my my favorite rappers either lost it or they ain’t alive, and etc. He talks s*** and brags pretty well.

Rap has always had archetypes, and the classic "Braggy Rapper" (or braggadocious rapper) is no different. If there's a through-line of the sort of "holy grail" of braggy rappers, it would be: Biggie to Jay-Z to Drake.

While each rapper brings their own spin to the archetype (Biggie as the big yet sensual street mafia don, Jay as the rags to riches hustler and Drake as the sometimes romantic simp sometimes "mob ties" God), they are the main three names you point to, with each being heavily influenced by the last

However; in an era where most young rappers look up to Southern street crooners such as Future and Young Thug, the era of the classic Braggy Rapper is most likely dead.

Of the really big guys ?probably ...Kendrick is more of a black nerd/Eminem and jcole is going for that homeless look.

Ross is up there but he not one of the top niggas anymore

Wayne was definitely omitted, but looking back on it his raps never contained the pristine opulence of wealth that Jay's and Drake's does he never graduated to that level of indulgence.

He has it more than Wayne,but I think that Drake is up there when he wants to be. I think that's one of the reasons that they mesh so well together. You can fill the wealth and envision the opulence when they're on a track together

Drake isn't really consistent with it bc he has those simp songs and watered down dance songs. He just taps into it every now and then.

Whereas with Ross it's the main thing he does.

He's probably the only one in modern times who can actually live what he brags about. He has that realistic yet condescending style of rap that Jay-Z has.

There are characters like lik mosey and nle chopper who will brag about how much d**** they take and the arsenal of weapons they supposedly shoot daily but we all know it's bullshit.
