For those of you that don’t know David Bowie was once on record saying he believed in fascism and that "Adolf Hitler was one of the first rock stars."

So much like Kanye, Bowie expressed his desire to run for public office and then praised hitler as well. But, upon death everyone expressed how they loved Bowie and I think his last album won a Grammy or something.
