Arguably one of the greatest and most controversial albums of the past 25 years, 2pac's (or in this case, Makaveli's) "The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory" made significant impact on Hip-Hop culture when it was released after the infamous death of Tupac Shakur. The tracks on this album have been considered some of Tupac's greatest works, which included "Bomb First", "Hail Mary", "To Live and Die in L.A.", and "Blasphemy".
Even though Tupac never considered this album to be a Christian Hip-Hop album, it is undeniable how much Christian imagery, allusions, and symbolism is found in the Don Killuminati album. Songs like "Blasphemy" and "Hail Mary" delve into biblical themes and topics, a first of its kind for a hardcore rap album.
Now, we all know that Kanye's "Jesus is King" is a GOSPEL album, but I'd argue that it does share similarities to Tupac's Don Killuminati album. The energy was different as Kanye has spoken about the power of music being a source of healing. It also didn't involve songs that involve dissing other artists, with the exception of subliminals being thrown at Drake and Liberals.
So KTT, what do you think? Did JIK set a new benchmark in the Christian Hip-Hop genre the way Tupac did back in 1996, or did it create a new genre in itself?
Edit: changed the post to past tense.
pac hat literally a track called blasphemy on the album. it's not christian at all
jik is great but ur a f***ing moron if u believe its better than killuminati and ur a s*** eater if u think killuminati is a Christian album

Killuminati is a stonecold classic, one of the most hardcore albums ever recorded. Nothing will ever match its energy except Yeezus.
Makaveli is one of the best rap albums ever made, period with that dark ass, raw sound
JIK is the opposite aesthetically and musically so I don’t think they can be compared
He disses organized religion for caring more about themselves rather than the people and not being true to their God so I feel it can’t even be compared to JIK where it’s the opposite lol
To OP, Makaveli isn’t Christian hip hop at all
@vixen came shooting with all facts!
