Both have basically just been confirmed to drop this year by Sony, they are two of Konami’s most beloved games in their history and both of them are being developed under not so great circumstances.

Not to mention that the SH2 remake is supposed to be part of a greater Silent Hill IP resurgence that got kicked off by the abomination that is/was Silent Hill: Ascension, arguably the most egregiously terrible entry in the entire franchise (if you don’t know, look it up ).

And then there’s the whole recent MGS collection s*** that happened just a couple months ago.

I wish I could be optimistic, but goddamn is it hard.

As an aside, Bloober team is apparently in the polishing phase of SH2 remake and the bulk of their team is already moving on to their next title.

Which makes wonder, if the SH2 remake ends up being no so great, who’s gonna give their next title the time of day?

There’ll be no living that s*** down, makes me hope that they pull through for that alone.

Konami is still loved by many. If anything it'll be a disappointment. S*** even a more than a disappointment, a tragedy

Bloober is an okay dev they just lack they one of those special qualities. Basically they're just there. Yea, they'll make a few decent games here and there but not to the point where the studio becomes well known or in demand.

konami is already beyond woat for silent hills

There is no way they're fumbling Silent Hill 2 that doesn't involve their headquarters being torched

MGS3 remake is all we need

literally even if konami actually puts in the proper effort for SH2 it cannot be received well by the core fanbase. that's the biggest issue you run into when you have a game that people love BECAUSE of its s***ty elements like the janky combat and stilted voice acting (both of which I love btw)

Those people aren't the target audience though

modern square enix is worst than modern konami

The remake is horrible and Silent Hill is pretty much dead forever OR the remake is actually quite good, but so different from the original fans hate it
