He started rhyming on his albums like he does his mixtapes (substance wise). He used to lock in subject wise on the albums but he started just random rhyming. It works sometimes but other times it’s like nigga why the f*** are you talking about killing a nigga on this love song.

He only has 4 solo albums post C4. FWA and C5 are really good.

I don't see it at all because that was a dark age for Wayne.

IANAHB2 was a bad album that was way too heavy on the p**** bars which got redundant af.

And he also got in trouble with the Emmitt Till bar which he had to apologize for.

And he kept postponing albums like crazy. Many people don't even know that Wayne was supposed to drop the album in 2012 but he waited until Drake and Future helped lace him up with a smash hit to confirm the release date.

Being a Wayne fan during 2012-2013 wasn't fun and I've seen many people drift away from him in real time.

Thankfully, C5 and his 2020's rap features were a good comeback from that dark age even though the albums are generally still pretty weak.

I can see a critical reappraisal for C4 though.

In fact, there's already a number of people who feel C4 is better than C3.

C3 is still much more impactful though.
