Nah, he def made everyone in there uncomfortable, you could see it on everyone’s faces afterwards.
If you were there and saw they weren’t gonna remove him from the event because of it you’d be wondering if he’s gonna get up and do it to someone else.

Either way, his apology shows he knows how badly he f***ed up. He’s gonna spend the rest of the year going on an apology tour and he probably never getting invited or nominated again but he’s got millions in the bank so we shouldn’t feel sorry for him.
