I was on a film set while this happened. Pre show, One of the actresses spoke on “femboys” and all the weird outfits young moviestar men were wearing

She said (half jokingly) she wasn’t a fan of the outfits and toxic masculinity needed to come back

Then will slapped Chris rock and she wasn’t going for it at all

What's still crazy to me is that this is worse than the T-Swift incident but Kanye was ex-communicated from the industry and was dropped from what would have been the biggest tour on the planet. Will Smith casually made it back to his seat and got the award to a standing ovation Literally no backlash no loss of sponsorship or sharp criticism from his peers. I hope Chris Rock realises (Like Kanye) only the people love him like that, the industry and the establishment actually do not like him.

Not really Will Smith is black and clearly he has certain privileges just like the Grammys dropping the Ye performance for the Trevor Noah diss. It's not particularly a race thing, there are industry insiders and outsiders.

Trump/Charlie Sheen/Tom Cruise/Chris Pratt are white and you bet your ass they will be admonished for the slightest transgressions.
