there's some nuance here tho. like i agree people overreacting and trying to make this deeper than what it is. i don't think he deserves to be arrested, and taking the award away would be f***ing stupid. reggie bush still a heisman winner, the trophy doesn't mean s***.
and i agree with you, he's a human that lost his s***. But when he lost his s*** he did something that you shouldn't do, and that's hit a performer on stage. You just can't do that. I'll always love Will Smith but he f***ed up.
Just cuz someone says you shouldn't hit a performer on stage doesn't mean we agree with all that other twitter s***.

Had he just chilled no one woulda even knew or remembered that joke being made
If he felt a way he coulda approached Chris in his dressing room during commercial break and handled it there

DZESeems to me Jadas reaction precipitated him momentarily not caring about public perception, which who cares anyway lol.
Also the fact is Chris only made that joke because he felt safe up there. All the things you listed gave him a false sense of security AND added to Jadas public humiliation.
Jada received a maybe 3 out of 10 on the roasting scale and I've seen people receive a 10 and take it better than that. Endorsing people attacking comedians on stage is a slippery slope to fascism
and even if it was bad enough to lay hands on them you don't do it while he's in the middle of presenting

Some people would definitely prioritize don't publicly humiliate a mans wife above don't hit a performer on stage and I think thats where the divide in opinion on this situation pretty much sits.
