Ye the album is so trash. JIK is so much better

Why do people hate ye so much though? It has Kanye’s most introspective and personal lyrics. If you’re at all interested in Kanye the person (which 99% of the people on this board are) it’s very welcome and refreshing. It’s a cohesive album, the production might be stripped back but it has a gentle and pleasant quality that’s really nice, and the songs are more developed than those on JIK. Ghost Town, ITAKY, Wouldn’t Leave, Violent Crimes are all excellent songs. No Mistakes is solid. And Yikes and All Mine are weak by Kanye’s standards but I would say only All Mine is a subpar song in general.

After KSG came out, I stopped wishing for a MBDTF-level album. KSG fulfilled that wish for life

KSG is incredible. Truly a lightning in a bottle moment that somehow manifested itself despite the chaos in Kanye’s life at the time.

He definitely has it in him, he just isn’t as confident, look at the OG SHMG tracklist, the rumored pre- TMZ ye, etc.

It’s just a matter of putting good advisors (Rick Rubin, Mike Dean, Cashmere Cat, Francis, etc) in the room and removing the trash

on top of that i think his time is just too stretched for him to do something like spending 1000 man hours on a single track right now

if he ever stops being so involved in Yeezy and after his kids get more grown (im talking 10+ years down the line) i could see him putting out some sort of next level old man album thats a retrospective on his entire life

Sky city, ghost town, ksg, and law of attraction shows that he still has it in him, he just needs to tap into that same energy and he’ll be back

I think it’s coming sooner rather than later, he just needs to sto rushing himself, and we need to stop thirsting so hard lmfao. MBDTF, Yeezus, and TLOP all took 2+ years to make.

Nope. I personally doubt we’ll even get another Kanye album that’s even on the level of ye (which is clearly better than JIK but this board has a hate boner against it).

ye is so bad man lmao like legit a 2/10 album

Imagine how bad a solo Kanye record would be lol

He could do it all himself again if he wanted to, he proved that with his solo production work on DAYTONA & KSG. He’s a genius collaborator that is able to bring people together & create something amazing. He recognizes the need to push things forward musically which is why he brings in collaborators

I dont think he has the drive to make something like that again

But to be fair MBDTF is almost perfect I can’t see any rapper right now making something like that
