I'm not a Drake stan by any means but it's undeniable at this point that he's the biggest artist on the planet.
With it being so easy to make music and a nearly saturated music industry. Is it possible to see an artist reach this height of popularity with all demos ?
Lil Nas X out now
He not the biggest artist on the planet tho...
Lil Nas X doesn't appeal to the older demo
yes he does
yes he does
So called "Hip Hop Heads" (LOX, Griselda, underground NY hip hop) aren't listening to Lil Nas X brother
roddy rich
I love Nav but does Nav appeal to the female demo ?
I'm sure he at least has some female fans lmao

and they also weren’t listening to Drake in 2009 & probably don’t listen to him on purpose in 2020
what’s your point?
So Beyoncé?
I don't see Hip Hop Heads rushing to a Bey album though. I mean Bey is great but I wouldn't say she has a hold
There’s always gonna be another huge phenomenon. Obviously the decade just started and Drake was making a HUGE waves 10 years ago so I’m sure somebody will pop off soon.

They weren't listening to Drake when he started either they outright hated him.
It took Drake years to get here by his own admission
yea i mean there will def be somebody after drake don't know when but somebody gonna come around
I'm sure he at least has some female fans lmao
I mean I'm sure he has but I would imagine few and far between ? Idk I've never heard a female mention Nav

Thing is though, yea I agree with you cause I'm sure they were saying the same about MJ. It's just that Drake is like a lab invention. He got the "real hip hop crowd" the b****es. Next point might be touchy but the bi racial thing...we can't act like that doesn't work in his favor. He got the pop crowd.
I mean someone mentioned Roddy, probably the closest
Drake has perfected the art of making pop, r&b, and hiphop for the lowest common denominator(don’t mean that in a disrespectful way) basically being very inoffensive. While The Box was huge, I don’t see Roddy being as versatile as Drake
