Agreed. Feels like that scene was added after they learned they were canceled
https://twitter.com/variety/status/1703612306901672271it felt like the entire last 10-15 minutes of the show were only about the show getting canceled and not the show itself. between the buss scene, the last interaction between magic and pat, the magic shower scene, and the montage it just felt like the showrunners were talking about themselves and how they did the best they can but couldn't get there.

I learned it was canceled before watching the episode and was getting those vibes too they deserved better

just so unfortunate because there was so much meat left on the bone wrt character development. i honestly think that was worse than not being able to finish the story itself. jeanie and jerry's arc is cut short. kareem's arc gets cut short. cookie's arc was set up to be very interesting after the hiv diagnosis and we just never get there. and i think the writers were doing a good job setting it up too.
i hope we get a movie after the writer's strike is over. season 2 narrative structure could have worked as a movie anyways.
@neal_walter
Yeah they said this was coming a while back, which kinda sucks cuz this season made me like the show more than I originally did. Was thinking after the Magic era they could jump to the Shaq and Kobe era and we could see that but oh well, guess I'll just have to read the book lol.
Zaslav would have canceled the wire after season 2 lol
I hope dude nothing but the worst what a stupid piece of s***
Great show, sad to see it’s getting cancelled. Was hoping to see the next season when they beat Boston.
Need a spinoff of the Van Exel and Divac era called Not Winning Time
No need to diss the lost era
and man did i love red auerbach and larry bird in this one
Built it to be bigger than me. Yet only won three in 80s man was high off the sixties seventies titles

And only won one title since the 80s
But I’m a Bulls fan so I can’t talk much

Thunder fan all I know is false hope n disappointment
It’s like HBO highkey tried to put the show in this position tho. A lot of people genuinely did not even know S2 was coming out cus of bad promo + strike hitting. I follow the show and only remembered that it was premier night because of KTT2
Pearlman kept trying to warn people but what was anyone supposed to do? They didn’t even wait to see they just straight canceled lol
Doesn’t feel like a coincidence right after this got canceled, Max introduced sports including NBA to the service.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that was a prerequisite in order to easily secure the NBA games. League and many of the real life players were against the show from the jump. This felt very much like a rush to get the show out of the way
Never before in history have I been more depressed at hbo originals.. first Ken fans get screwed then I'm watching the lakers lose as the finale for winning time
What an ending what a show man
Amazing
