I thought literally 2 days ago that giving quan a John Wick type vehicle would be an easy, safe win for everyone involved

He also fits the bill more than some other actors who’ve been given these types of movies because he worked as a stunt coordinator himself for years. Teaming him up with the John Wick stunt guy to make their own thing together is exciting

Yeah I think that would be a great route like Police story or something.

But drunken master always been 1 my personal favorites when it comes to throwback Jackie

Would really like a Jackie Chan-like film with physical comedy in the action bits. These serious John Wick type flicks need to be balanced out.

haven't seen drunken master, it's on the list tho. love the Police Story series.

yea give him a little romance and comedic action bits, good direction and i'm satisfied. he doesn't need to do anything overly serious

I love Ke so I hope this does well

Looks like a fun action comedy nothing more. 87 North plus his experience in stunt work should make for some good sequences

true, i thought we was really about to get some peak jackie chan revival

It’s fun. Not the starring vehicle I would’ve wanted Ke Huy Quan to have but it shows off his stunt chops. The basic script didn’t help much but some of the action was good. I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if the guy two seats away from me wasn’t coughing up a lung during the entire movie.
