There’s nothing wrong with marriage. The state should not have authority over marriage, however
The state absolutely should never have authority over marriage. I just think that tying the knot shouldn’t be encouraged and expected of people. Rocky marriages ending in divorce lead to costly legal battles, affect the mental health of kids and radicalize people into hating the opposite gender (like mgtow, idk what the women equivalent is). Those rotten b****es who demand ridiculous amounts of alimony, I guess? Plus marriage can keep people trapped in an abusive relationship - because they’re married they feel obligated to say with their abuser.
I do know people who are successfully married though, and I wish the best of luck for everyone is. I just think the downsides outweigh the benefits (aside from taxes.) & we should reconsider collectively what are values are

this nation is falling apart
I think I've only ever seen the people who are the exact problem with this nation saying this nation is failing
Maybe I’m wrong for it, and I have no problem admitting that, but I would be so embarrassed if my girlfriend proposed to me. I’m sure that’s because of preconceived social standards, but it’s just the truth for me.
